A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

OK I just finished these books and I was pleasantly surprised. When I picked them up i was thinking "OK just another cheesy vampire novel" however they were both action pact with a heartbreaking and very beautiful love story. I really enjoyed this series and am left hoping for more books to be released in the near future!!

Bite Me!: AJ Ashe isn't your typical seventeen-year-old vampire—as if there is such a thing! She's stuck in the middle of a huge fight between her two BFFs. Her ex-boyfriend—whom she's still totally in love with, by the way—is now her stepbrother. A former classmate—who, um, she may or may not have turned into a vampire—is stalking her. And now, apparently, the fate of humankind lies in her little undead hands. What ever happened to the good old days, when all a vampire girl had to worry about was the occasional zit and hiding her taste for blood?

Love Sucks!: AJ Ashe may have gotten rid of her vampire stalker and her evil ex-teacher, but things are hardly back to normal. For one thing, she still has to maintain a strict look-but-don't-touch policy with Ryan, her hot ex-boyfriend-turned-stepbrother. For another, she has to learn to control her vampire superpowers—which means more than a few dates with Lex, mind-reading professional vampire trainer and too-sexy-for-his-own-good bad boy. And as if that's not enough, she happens to be the key to her father's plans to take over the world . . . and he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants.

All this and she's still got to plan the prom. Being a teenager is tough, but being a teenage vampire just flat out sucks!

Next Ill be reading Switched from the Trylle series by Amanda Hocking Thanks for visiting everyone!

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

OK this is another ADULT book. If you loved Fifty Shades you'll love this too I know I did. I love the problems they face on a day to day basis more like a normal relationship and Gideon, although very rich, is also extremely down to earth. but with both of their dark pasts can they make their relationship last.
Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness…

He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…
Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires.
The bonds of his love transformed me, even as i prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart...

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

The best thing about the tantalize series is that every book is from a different POV so you can really get to know all the characters. I really enjoy this series its got a great mix of different supernatural from angels to vampires and a wide assortment of weres. Its a good series and I would recommend it for a light read.

Blessed: Quincie P. Morris, teen restaurateuse and neophyte vampire, is in the fight of her life -- or undeath. Even as she adjusts to her new appetites, she must clear her best friend and true love, the hybrid werewolf Kieren, of murder charges; thwart the apocalyptic ambitions of Bradley Sanguini, the seductive vampire-chef who "blessed" her; and keep her dead parents’ restaurant up and running. She hires a more homespun chef and adds the preternaturally beautiful Zachary to her wait staff. But with hundreds of new vampires on the rise and Bradley off assuming the powers of Dracula Prime, Zachary soon reveals his true nature -- and a flaming sword -- and they hit the road to staunch the bloodshed before it’s too late. Even if they save the world, will there be time left to salvage Quincie’s soul?

The newest Kissed by an Angel, Everlasting, was good however it can get a bit boring and tedious in some parts. But I continued to read to the finish and I am excited to find out if Ivy will in fact get another chance with Tristan or will she realize her love for Will before he decides to move on.

Ivy should be ecstatic that her formerly dead boyfriend Tristan is back on earth with her, but the life of a fallen angel is never easy. Tristan has been cast down in the body of a murderer, and the police are after him. Now, there’s only one way that he and Ivy can be together: They must clear Tristan of the murder.

But when it becomes evident that there are darker forces at work—that Tristan and Ivy are still paying the price for Ivy’s miraculous survival of her car crash—the star-crossed lovers have more at stake than ever before. And one of them may not be alive much longer....

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

This was a graphic release and was just fun to revisit Hush Hush and see the characters how the author saw them.

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment. But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life!

Building up to the big finally. This book had less romance than what we've come to expect from The Drake Chronicles however I did love the fact that she built it up for the big final book and that we wont know what to expect. who will be with who and who will actually walk away when alls said and done. I don't know but I cant wait to find out.

When the vampire tribes convene for the rare Blood Moon ceremonies, Solange Drake’s struggle with her feral nature, a mysterious stranger, family secrets, and forbidden magic put her entire family in danger. And when Nicholas Drake is torn between saving his little sister, Solange, or his girlfriend Lucy, who will he choose?

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

The Vampire Academy series is probably one of my favorite series out there today. The Golden Lily just adds to a great series. Continuing to follow Sydney as she protects vampire royalty and trys to fight her building feelings for them. Every book in this series is AMAZING and I was not let down with this new release. I think this book is full of action and always leaves you asking what is going on, and why is Adrian acting ever weirder than usual.

Tough, brainy alchemist Sydney Sage and doe-eyed Moroi princess Jill Dragomir are in hiding at a human boarding school in the sunny, glamorous world of Palm Springs, California. The students—children of the wealthy and powerful—carry on with their lives in blissful ignorance, while Sydney, Jill, Eddie, and Adrian must do everything in their power to keep their secret safe. But with forbidden romances, unexpected spirit bonds, and the threat of Strigoi moving ever closer, hiding the truth is harder than anyone thought.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

The most perfect ending to the Fallen series. We finally discover how Luce and Daniel met. And how it all began. Will Luce let Daniel make the ultimate sacrifice for their love or let him go and be free. Can Daniel fix all the wrong and break the curse. A great read for all and an amazing adventure in to the world of angels and demons.
The sky is dark with wings. . . . In RAPTURE, the highly anticipated fourth and final novel in the FALLEN series, Luce and Daniel are together . . . but for how long? Can history be rewritten? Or are some punishments eternal?

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

This is the review I have been so excited to do!!!
I picked up this series to see what all hub bub was about. And I was addicted right from the first chapter. As a twilight fan I found all the similarities and enjoyed them thoroughly. EL James has been quoted as saying that twilight was one of her big inspirations for the characters in these books. This series is a must read for any woman and I also say men should read to get a few great ideas on how to romance a woman the right way. Christian Grey is a sexual and alluring man while Ana is self conscious and unsure of herself. Many women will find them selves thinking like Ana does many times. and I think she teaches us to be empowered in our live, be it sex or self image. READ these book ASAP!!!

Fifty Shades of Grey: When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

Fifty Shades Darker: Daunted by the singular tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house.

But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades.
While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life.

Fifty Shades Freed: When unworldly student Anastasia Steele first encountered the driven and dazzling young entrepreneur Christian Grey it sparked a sensual affair that changed both of their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and, ultimately, repelled by Christian’s singular erotic tastes, Ana demands a deeper commitment. Determined to keep her, Christian agrees.

Now, Ana and Christian have it all—love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them would anticipate. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian’s opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own identity. And Christian must overcome his compulsion to control as he wrestles with the demons of a tormented past.
Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to make Ana’s deepest fears turn to reality.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

This time Riley may be in over her head. And yes its the truth but I trust Alyson Noel by now to take me on an exciting trip into new worlds and exciting adventures. these books are each great however this one really starts to show Rileys growth and maturity. It was a great read all the way through.

This time, Riley might really have bitten off more than she’s ready for. After practically begging the Council for a more challenging Soul Catch, she is assigned an actual Roman gladiator—Theocoles, the Pillar of Doom. How is Riley, a skinny twelve-year-old, supposed to get through to him? Then she meets the beautiful Messalina, who convinces her that her only chance is to become part of this world. To accomplish this, Messalina helps Riley through a dramatic, mystical makeover, transforming her into the beautiful and mature teen she’s always wanted to be. Finally, Riley can experience her first boyfriend and her first kiss. With a dream this enchanting, will she ever want to leave?

This ending to the Vampire kisses series was bittersweet. I was so excited to find out how it would all end, would Alexander turn Raven or keep her begging for years to come. And also with the arrival of Alexanders sister we get to meet more of his family and see how Raven really fits in. I thought it was a very fitting end and loved every second of the trip Alexander and Raven have taken us on if you haven't read the series please go pick it up you will not be disappointed.

Athena "Stormy" Sterling is coming to Dullsville, and Raven is both excited and panicked in anticipation of Alexander's little sister's visit. Alexander tells Raven that she and his sister have a lot in common, but can the mini-Raven be everything she hopes for? Alexander calls her Stormy for a reason.

Stormy's visit stirs up the perfect immortal whirlwind. Raven is forced to take a good look at what it would really mean to be a vampire in the Sterling family, aside from some of the things she already loves, like shunning the sun and sleeping in a coffin with Alexander. When Raven compares her life with Stormy's, she can see that it's not all starry skies and black roses. But Raven knows she's always wanted to be a vampire.
Alexander is as romantic and dreamy as ever, and though he keeps showing Raven how much he loves her, will she ultimately be able to convince him that it's the right thing to turn her?

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

I have to say when I started reading this series I fell in love right away however with the last two books I am starting to feel a bit let down and like we're beating a dead dog here. With that being said I will say this book was full of action (even if it's not of the erotic kind that made me love the series in the beginning) and lots of twists I didn't see coming. But I'm starting to feel like I really just want to know whom sookie ends up with and be done with all this. However again I will try to maintain hope for the future books to bring back the steamy love scenes we had all come to love and expect in this series. Here's hoping for a great turn around in the series more love less crime novel please!!!!

It’s vampire politics as usual around the town of Bon Temps, but never before have they hit so close to Sookie’s heart…

Growing up with telepathic abilities, Sookie Stackhouse realized early on there were things she’d rather not know. And now that she’s an adult, she also realizes that some things she knows about, she’d rather not see—like Eric Northman feeding off another woman. A younger one.
There’s a thing or two she’d like to say about that, but she has to keep quiet—Felipe de Castro, the Vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), is in town. It’s the worst possible time for a human body to show up in Eric’s front yard—especially the body of the woman whose blood he just drank.
Now, it’s up to Sookie and Bill, the official Area Five investigator, to solve the murder. Sookie thinks that, at least this time, the dead girl’s fate has nothing to do with her. But she is wrong. She has an enemy, one far more devious than she would ever suspect, who’s set out to make Sookie’s world come crashing down.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

As always Rachel Caine delivers this book is exciting from start to finish. Every second of it was "Are they gonna make it?" and "Come on GO GO GO" it was possibly my fave book in this series so far.

Ever since the draug—mysterious creatures that prey on vampires—took over Morganville, the lives of student Claire Danvers and her friends have been thrown into turmoil. Most of the town’s residents have evacuated, but Claire, Shane, Eve and Michael have chosen to stay and fight.

Using the city’s water system to spread, the draug have rapidly multiplied. Things in Morganville look grim, especially since vampire Amelie—the town founder—has been infected by the master draug’s bite.
Now, if Claire and her friends don’t figure out how to cure Amelie and defeat the draug, it looks like Morganville will become little more than a ghost town…

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

Contenueing the Immortal series each book carries on the girls storys each done from each girls point of view. The thing is that each book can get a bit tedious with all the small details however if you stick with them and read to the end I promise you will be rewarded. An amazing plot and characters you can see yourself as Shields captured my heart with this series.

Betrayal: There are the small betrayals: the unkind word, the petty lies. And there are the betrayals that break hearts, destroy worlds, and turn the strong sweet light of day into bitter dust.

When Evie Johnson started at Wyldcliffe Abbey School for Young Ladies, her life changed in ways she couldn't possibly have envisioned: the discovery of her link with Lady Agnes, her special bond with Helen and Sarah, and their sisterhood in the astonishing secrets of the Mystic Way. Above all, Evie's love for Sebastian has turned her world upside down.
Now Evie returns to Wyldcliffe for another term and more danger. Surrounded by enemies, she lives every day in fear that Sebastian will fall into the darkness of servitude to the Unconquered Lords. The Wyldcliffe coven is plotting to destroy Evie and use Sebastian to secure their own immortality. Evie and her sisters must master the power of the Talisman before it is too late. But could it be Sebastian himself who will ultimately betray Evie?

Eternal: I am not like Evie. I don't belong in some great romance. I'm just the best friend in the background. Always there, always reliable, down-to-earth. Good old Sarah. That's how it's always been. Until now.

At Wyldcliffe Abbey School for Young Ladies, Sarah is the faithful friend to Evie and Helen, her sisters in the Mystic Way. But this term Sarah finds that their friendship is tested. Evie is turning her back on the Mystic Way after laying her beloved Sebastian's soul to rest; Helen is distracted by her tormented relationship with her mother. Sarah struggles to keep the sisterhood together as the threat of attack looms from the dark coven and the Unconquered lords.
All that keeps Sarah going is her connection with her earth powers and a promise she cannot break. When she must step out of the shadows and fight the eternal darkness, will her sisters join her, or will help come from unexpected sources, like her Romany ancestors and a love she'd only just dared hope for?

Destiny: Everything is connected. We weave in and out of one another's lives, like circles within circles, and everything is for a purpose.

Helen has always been the "crazy" one among the girls of Wyldcliffe, scarred by her bleak past and her troubled relationship with her mother, the former headmistress and leader of the Wyldcliffe coven, Mrs. Hartle.
But Miss Scratton promised Helen that a love "beyond the confines of this world" is waiting for her. Could this be Lynton, the mysterious music student who visits Wyldcliffe for his lessons? And what about the brooch her mother gave her—what can the Seal reveal about Helen's past and future?
Now that Miss Scratton is gone, life at Wyldcliffe takes an even darker turn. An unexpected threat arrives in the form of a new high master, whom Helen remembers from her unhappy childhood. Can Helen, Evie, and Sarah finally overcome Wyldcliffe's darkness? Will Lady Agnes come to their aid? And what sacrifices must they make to fulfill their destiny?

Yet again I love this series I dont know how much more I can express that. Its an amazing series that has kept my intrest and has not got boring with a same old story line. Pick it up if you havent!

Maya Delaney's paw-print birthmark is the mark of what she truly is—a skin-walker. She can run faster, climb higher, and see better than nearly everyone else. Experiencing intense connections with the animals that roam the woods outside her home, Maya knows it's only a matter of time before she's able to Shift and become one of them. And she believes there may be others in her small town with surprising talents.

Now Maya and her friends have been forced to flee from their homes during a forest fire they suspect was deliberately set. Then they're kidnapped, and after a chilling helicopter crash, they find themselves in the Vancouver Island wilderness with nothing but their extraordinary abilities to help them get back home.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

Ill be doing this next review on the whole series because I read them all back to back.

Ok so I had to read the series after we went and saw the movie and I'm so happy I did so I was in a state of anxiety the whole time I was reading the series. There were constant twists in the story and also never know who Katniss would end up with was just nail biting good. I loved the spin on a future apocalypse story.

The Hunger Games: In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she is forced to represent her district in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before-and survival.

Catching Fire: Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

The Mocking Jay: The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

Who do they think should pay for the unrest?
Katniss Everdeen.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

This was the perfect ending to a wonderful series. Grace is in a race to save her love Daniel and also to stop the war with Caleb, Daniels father. Meanwhile Grace still has the looming presence of Talbot lurking around saying he wants to help her but how can she even begin to let him given the horrible past. You will be holding your breath the time your reading this book waiting to find out what will happen and who will win in this imminent fight.

Grace's life is a mess. Daniel is still a werewolf, Talbot can't be trusted, and Caleb is still out there. With Sirhan's impending death, war seems imminent. Will Grace give in to the wolf to save her family? What will happen to Daniel . . . and can their love survive one last test?

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

This is a great spin-off from the Evernight series. Focusing mainly on Balthazar and him trying to fight his past and his waring emotions of what the future may hold. I fell in love with Balthazar due to his loyalty to the people he love even when they fight his love and throw it right back at him. I was rooting for his blooming romance with Skye right from the first page and I still find myself daydreaming about what may be coming along in their story.

For hundreds of years, the vampire Balthazar has been alone—without allies, without love.

When Balthazar agrees to help Skye Tierney, a human girl who once attended Evernight Academy, he has no idea how dangerous it will be. Skye’s newfound psychic powers have caught the attention of Redgrave, the cruel, seductive master vampire responsible for murdering Balthazar and his family four centuries ago. Now Redgrave plans to use Skye’s powers for his own evil purposes.
Balthazar will do whatever it takes to stop Redgrave and exact his long-awaited revenge against his killer. As Skye and Balthazar stand together to fight him, they grow closer—first unwillingly, then undeniably. Balthazar realizes his lonely world could finally be changed by her. . . .

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

This series right from the beginning has stirred up a tornado of emotions in me Ive laughed and cried with these characters for some time now and I love how much Mari has gotten in depth with how twins are alike but also how they can be so vastly different. This was a very exciting book with changes happening all around and the girls trying to decide if they could change how their lives turned out would they. I you could go back and never meet the man you love would you? If it meant not having to have tons and tons of drama thrown in your lap by never meeting him would you change it then? Well continue reading and find out! I know I will be.
Sunny McDonald and her vampire boyfriend, Magnus, are on the run-accused of treason and wanted alive...or undead. And her twin is the slayer sent to track them down.

Rayne would do anything to save her twin sister, Sunny, from the Vampire Consortium dictator who wants her dead. Instead, she's been commissioned by Slayer Inc. to find Sunny and Magnus and deliver them to the Consortium...which Rayne knows means certain death. She also knows that if she and her boyfriend, Jareth, disobey orders, they are signing not only their own death warrants, but also those of every vampire in the Blood Coven.
As a rival slayer with a personal vendetta moves in, Rayne and Jareth must do something to stop her. So they embark on their most dangerous journey yet, deep beneath the streets of New York City and through the Gates of the Underworld. But when a greedy god demands the ultimate sacrifice, will Rayne be forced to choose between her sister...and the vampire she loves?

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

This was yet another book I had bought forever ago and had put off reading then I had a break between new releases and decided to get to it while I had a chance. I'm so glad I did I got to fall in love with a new leading man, Sebastian. And through out the book you'll keep asking yourself whom do you trust and whom do you just know evil lives in their heart. With constant twists and turns you wont ever get bored with this book.

Welcome to Wyldcliffe, the place that haunts my present, my past, and my future.

Wyldcliffe Abbey School for Young Ladies is elite, expensive, and unwelcoming. When Evie Johnson is torn from her home near the sea to become the newest scholarship student, strict teachers, snobbish students, and the oppressive atmosphere of Wyldcliffe leave her drowning in loneliness.
Evie's only lifeline is Sebastian, a mysterious and attractive young man she meets by chance. As Evie's feelings for Sebastian blaze with each secret meeting, she begins to fear that he is hiding something about his past. And she is haunted by glimpses of a strange, ghostly girl—a girl who is so eerily like Evie she could be a sister. Evie is slowly drawn into a tangled web of past and present that she cannot control. As the extraordinary, elemental forces of Wyldcliffe rise up like the mighty sea, Evie is faced with an astounding truth about Sebastian, and her own incredible fate.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

I was so excited when this book hit the shelves I devouered the Darkest powers series and now to have this spin off that is gaurenteed to have a tie in down the line which Im dieing to see. This is the just the begining and I loved every second of it. Its definatly a must have for any Darkest powers fan!!

An ordinary town . . . full of deadly secrets

Strange things have been happening in sixteen-year-old Maya's small Vancouver Island community—from the mountain lions that have been constantly approaching her to her best friend's hidden talent for "feeling" out people and situations. There's also a sexy new bad boy who makes Maya feel . . . different. Combine that with a few unexplained deaths and a mystery involving Maya's biological parents and it's easy to suspect that this town might have more than its share of skeletons in its closet.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

I became obsessed with this series with the first book, Almost to die for, I love how these books contain a lot of the drama teens face today and I also connected with the fight we sometimes face as adults when having to choose sides in fights within our own family's. Throughout the whole book you'll be asking yourself who will she end up with and who does her heart truly belong to. And I will leave you with this for some of you it may be a pleasant surprise and others may be going "Come on really that's it". I do feel the end was left a little open especially for a series ender but who knows maybe we'll see a little something new in the future for Ana.

Ever since her father banished the half-witch, half-vampire Ana Parker and vampire knight Elias from the court of the Northern vampires, Ana has been trying to live a normal life. But when the Prince of the Southern Region vampires informs Ana that they're on the brink of war and she accidentally offers up Elias as a peace offering, the princess knows that she's going to need some help to get out of this situation.

With Ana's boy drama meter hitting an all time high, summer in St. Paul is heating up for all the wrong reasons...

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

As most of my followers will know I love House of night I wish I could jump into the series and be a part of the nerd herd. With Lenobias Vow the newest novella in the series we get a deeper understanding of the house of nights horse mistress and a look back at her true love and the tragedy of how she ended up alone. I loved this book it was perfect. I loved getting a chance to get to know Lenobias past and how that in turn formed her future. Please make sure to pick up this novella ASAP and definitely read it before Hidden hits the shelves in October.

Evreux, France, 1788: Before she is Zoey’s favorite professor and the House of Night’s powerful horse mistress… Lenobia is just a normal 16-year-old girl – with enough problems to last a lifetime. As the illegitimate daughter of a powerful baron, she has never quite belonged, and instead has to watch her spoiled half-sister, Cecile, get anything she wants. As if that’s not enough, her remarkable beauty draws unwanted attention wherever she goes. For once, she would like to just fit in.

But when fate intervenes, Lenobia suddenly finds herself surrounded by other girls, on a ship bound for New Orleans, where they will be married off to the city’s richest Frenchmen. And they’re not alone…. An evil bishop who is skilled in Dark magic makes the same journey. His appetite for lovely young women makes him dangerous – most of all to Lenobia, who caught his eye back in France. So she remains hidden, making secret visits to the ship’s stables, where a handsome young man and his beautiful Percheron horses soon capture her attention.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

I picked this book up because the cover and title intrigued me. What kept me reading till the end was the unexpected twist on vampires and also the new breed of were introduced. And yes I will say I find the thought of this new were a tad ridiculous and reaching but non the less I did love the story line and plot.

Pearl is a sixteen-year-old vampire…fond of blood, allergic to sunlight, and mostly evil…until the night a sparkly unicorn stabs her through the heart with his horn. Oops.

Her family thinks she was attacked by a vampire hunter (because, obviously, unicorns don’t exist), and they’re shocked she survived. They’re even more shocked when Pearl discovers she can now withstand the sun. But they quickly find a way to make use of her new talent. The Vampire King of New England has chosen Pearl’s family to host his feast. If Pearl enrolls in high school, she can make lots of human friends and lure them to the King’s feast—as the entrÉes.
The only problem? Pearl’s starting to feel the twinges of a conscience. How can she serve up her new friends—especially the cute guy who makes her fangs ache—to be slaughtered? Then again, she’s definitely dead if she lets down her family. What’s a sunlight-loving vamp to do?

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

I originally picked up this book because I'm a huge fan of the Evernight series so I figured Id give the author another chance to wow me and I was not let down. I was pleasantly surprised while reading this book and was excited about the new twist on the classic Titanic tale that we all know so well.

Eighteen-year-old maid Tess Davies is determined to escape the wealthy, troubled family she serves. It’s 1912, and Tess has been trapped in the employ of the Lisles for years, amid painful memories and twisted secrets. But now the Lisle family is headed to America, with Tess in tow. Once the ship they’re sailing on—the RMS Titanic—reaches its destination, Tess plans to strike out and create a new life for herself.

Her single-minded focus shatters when she meets Alec, a handsome first-class passenger who captivates her instantly. But Alec has secrets of his own. He’s in a hurry to leave Europe, and whispers aboard the ship say it’s because of the tragic end of his last affair with the French actress who died so gruesomely and so mysteriously. . . .
Soon Tess will learn just how dark Alec’s past truly is. The danger they face is no ordinary enemy: werewolves exist and are stalking him—and now her, too. Her growing love for Alec will put Tess in mortal peril, and fate will do the same before their journey on the Titanic is over.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

This was another must read for all Fallen fans! It was amazing I loved everysecond of gettting to look a little closer at the characters and watch some fall in love while we also learn how others may lose love along the road to Luce and Daniels epic love story. Filled with short stories and amazing moments I really did fall in love with this book.
What makes your heart race a little faster? It's FALLEN IN LOVE, four wholly original and romantic new stories collected in a novel set in the Middle Ages by Lauren Kate. FALLEN IN LOVE gives fans the much-talked about but never-revealed stories of FALLEN characters as they intertwine with the epic love story of Luce and Daniel. The stories include: Love Where You Least Expect It: The Valentine of Shelby and Miles , Love Lessons: The Valentine of Roland; Burning Love: The Valentine of Arriane; and Endless Love: The Valentine of Daniel and Lucinda.

A few of Tasha's thoughts on her readings

I had picked up this series forever ago and had put off reading it as much as I could which I now regret. Once I started reading I couldn't put the books down. I read them all back to back and just loved all of it so Ill go ahead and just give a synopsis of each book in this one post. And if you are like me and may be putting off reading this series please give them a try, the pixie theme is a nice break from the typical vampires and werewolves.

Need: Zara collects phobias the way other high school girls collect lipsticks. Little wonder, since life’s been pretty rough so far. Her father left, her stepfather just died, and her mother’s pretty much checked out. Now Zara’s living with her grandmother in sleepy, cold Maine so that she stays “safe.” Zara doesn’t think she’s in danger; she thinks her mother can’t deal.

Wrong. Turns out that guy she sees everywhere, the one leaving trails of gold glitter, isn’t a figment of her imagination. He’s a pixie—and not the cute, lovable kind with wings. He’s the kind who has dreadful, uncontrollable needs. And he’s trailing Zara.

Captivate: Zara and her friends knew they hadn't solved the pixie problem for good. Far from it. The king's needs grow deeper every day he's stuck in captivity, while his control over his people gets weaker. It's made him vulnerable. And now there's a new king in town.

A turf war is imminent, since the new pixie king, Astley, is moving in quickly. Nick nearly killed him in the woods on day one, but Zara came to his rescue. Astley that he and Zara are destined to be together, that he's one of the good guys. Nick isn't buying it, though Zara isn't as sure — despite herself, she wants to trust the new king. But it's a lot more than her relationship with Nick that is at stake. It's her life — and his.

Entice: Zara and Nick are soul mates, meant to be together forever. But that's not exactly how things have worked out. Nick is dead-supposedly taken to some mythic place for warriors called Valhalla, where Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. Bedford needs its warriors more than ever, since a group of evil pixies is devastating the place. But even if Zara and her friends can reach Valhalla, there's that other small problem: Zara's been pixie kissed. Will Nick even want to return with her? Especially since she's not just any pixie . . . She's Astley's queen.

Endure: Zara is at the center of an all-out war, and an impending apocalypse. True, she’s successfully rescued Nick from Valhalla, but it simply isn’t enough. Bedford is being ravaged by evil pixies and they need much more than one great warrior; they need an army. Zara isn’t sure what her role is anymore. She’s not just fighting for her friends, she’s also a pixie queen. And to align her team of pixies with the humans she loves will be one of her greatest battles yet. Especially since she can’t even reconcile her growing feelings for her pixie king…

With every book in this series I fall more and more in love with this series they are just amazingly action packed and romantic. They leave me wishing I could find a Drake brother of my very own lol. I would very much recommend these books for all ages.

As vampires from all over the world descend on the Drake farm for the Blood Moon gathering, security is ramped up. Lucy has been temporarily banned, for her own safety—and to allow Solange some time to adjust to her new existence. But their enemies realize how much Lucy means to the family, and plan to abduct her to use her for leverage against the new royal family. Instead, Lucy’s cousin Christabel is kidnapped by mistake—and Connor Drake immediately heads off in pursuit, but isn’t in time to prevent Christabel’s infection by the Hel Blar. He can’t save her human life, but he can still try to save her new vampire life, and is willing to put his own life on the line for the girl he has grown to care so much about. Can he save Christabel, the Blood Moon, and his mother’s newly forged Vampire Alliance?

This was a must read for me because I love the Vampire Diaries world and simply cant get enough of Damon lol. However I do feel the series slipping for me and I find myself getting bored with it. I will continue the series and keep praying to see more if what I fell in love with in the first place.

The past is never far. . . .

Elena Gilbert and her friends saved Fell’s Church from evil spirits bent on destroying it, but the town’s freedom came at a price: Damon Salvatore’s life.
Damon’s death changes everything. He and his vampire brother, Stefan, had been locked in a vicious battle for Elena’s heart. Now that he’s gone, Elena and Stefan can finally be together. So why can’t Elena stop dreaming of Damon? As Elena’s feelings for Damon grow, a new darkness is brewing in Fell’s Church. Elena has been to hell and back, but this demon is like nothing she’s ever seen. Its only goal is to kill Elena and everyone she loves.

I finished this book a while back and I loved it for these reasons, it gave background on the characters and had a great recap on each of the books in the series. Plus we get to see a detailed look at each romantic relationship which is just awesome. This really is a must read for every VA fan and even those whom may just be considering the series.

A few thoughts on Tasha's readings

I have been very addicted to this series right from the beginning and I must say, I fell in love with these characters all over again! I got Jessica and her wonderful husband on a new journey full of twists and unexpected plots you'd never expect. I don't want to give anything away but the greatest part through out the book is watching ad Jessica has to decide whom to trust, and whom she needs to leave behind.
When Jessica Packwood found out she was a Romanian vampire princess, she had the shock of her teenage life. Turns out that was the easy part. Now, married to Prince Lucius Vladescu, she has to claim her throne and convince a vampire nation she’s fit to be their queen. But Jess can’t even order a decent meal from her castle’s Romanian staff, let alone deal with devious undead subjects who would love to see her fail.
And when Lucius is accused of murdering a vampire Elder and imprisoned without the blood he needs, Jessica finds herself alone, fighting for both their survivals. Desperate to clear her husband’s name and win his release, Jess enlists the help of her best friend Mindy Stankowicz and Lucius’s mysterious Italian cousin, Raniero Lovatu. But both of them are keeping some dark secrets. Can Jess figure out who to trust – and how to rise to power – before she loses everything, including the vampire she loves?
Full of romance, mystery, and danger, the highly anticipated sequel to Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side shows that sometimes a princess has to earn her “happily ever after” – with a sharpened stake in hand.
